Ciao!
This is actually the first year of my college career that I'm actually going on Spring Break. I studied abroad my junior year, so I have been a bit frugal with my money. But this upcoming week I will be going to Milan to visit my dad who is there for a while on business. I'm very excited and with midterms this week, I can't really concentrate. My study abroad location was in Florence or should I say Firenze. I was a bit reluctant to visit the same country within a year's time, but I figured I didn't have a chance to hit northern Italy and I could also visit Switzerland for a few days while I'm there this time. I'm leaving Friday morning and I don't get back until the Sunday before school begins. It will be a nice break from reality, especially since this chic has one huge case of Senioritis. And my work is giving me PTO, so I'm truly very fortunate. Well now that you know more than you need to or care to, I guess I am just wondering if any of you have plans? Or what was your best Spring Break? Even if you stayed in good old Milwaukee, what was something memorable (Ex: you saw a play, hockey game, etc.)?
Arrivederci!
Lindsey

This is my first spring break trip as well. We're going primarily to Washington DC, Buffalo, and Cooperstown, NY, with brief stops in Indiana, Philadelphia, and possibly Baltimore. I don't know much of what we specifically plan on doing, as I've avoided the planning stage. I'm more in charge of DJ-ing the car stereo, complaining, not helping with driving, and planned "spontaneous" bouts of wacky antics. (Guess who's bringing "adult Mad Libs"? Not "adult" as in dirty, "adult" as in at a higher reading level than children. Although, really, all Mad Libs are adult if you do them right...)
I'm guessing that after about three hours or so on the road I'll be hitchhiking back home by myself.
Oh I heart spring break!! However, this year I am NOT going anywhere :( but last year I was lucky enough to go to Cancun and yes, it was a blast! I loved the weather and the entire experience! I would totally go there and do it all over again...however, it did put a HUGE dent in my bank account! This year I'm layin low and staying in the Mil for the week...I have confidence in my friends that we'll make it a lively week even if it is right here in Brew City!:) Best wishes to those going to sunny weather! I'm jealous!!
This year I am road tripping to Kissimmee in Florida with my friend JZ. We are stopping in Kentucky on the way to stay with some of my good friends from high school. We are going to stay at my grandparent's condo for the week. I am excited to just hang out at the resort and relax all week. This comes at a great time when I am finishing up the application process for graduate school.
This spring break and last I have been taking mini Midwest vacations. Last year, at the very end of spring break, my roommate and I spontaneously decided to go to The Mall of America in Minnesota. We left on Friday morning, shopped when we got there and found a $30 motel to stay in Friday night. Saturday we shopped all day again, and left that night. This year my boyfriend and I are going to Wisconsin Dells on Monday and staying at the Chula Vista Resort with indoor water park until Wednesday. We bought the all inclusive package so we get free eating, drinking, and playing for the whole three days. Our room even has a whirlpool and fireplace in it! I’m going to be quite the glutton for those three days!
I will spare everyone with my past…interesting spring breaks and focus on this years…which surprisingly is just as lame. I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying in Milwaukee and working full-time. I graduate this spring (as you all know) and I plan on moving to California, and being the responsible person that I am, I know that I cannot afford spring break so here I will remain. I will not be spending $1000 going to somewhere tropical, but I will stay and make around $400. I will then take that money, save it, and use it to move to somewhere in June where I will have warm weather EVERYDAY, not just for ONE WEEK. (haha) Enjoy your one week everyone…I’ll be sure to enjoy my LIFE once I move. I am taking a trip to MN for four days or so to visit a few friends I haven’t seen in a long time from my hometown…so at least I’m getting away for an extended weekend. It should be interesting to say the least. I just hope that my car gets me all the way to Rochester, then to Collegeville, and then back to Milwaukee. My car is definitely on its last leg and I hope it doesn’t break down on me on my trip. If it does, it’ll definitely be a spring break to remember. But let’s hope it is─ without my car breaking down.
I can honestly say my spring breaks are always extremely lame. I never get to go anywhere or do anything fun. My breaks are spent working. It especially sucks when your mom is a teacher and your sister and brother are younger than you, so all of their high school spring breaks coincide and here I am stuck doing absolutely nothing.
However, last summer break I got to make up for all of that I've missed out on with a 2 week excursion to London and Paris. The only thing I would have changed is I would have gone with my boyfriend instead of my mom to Paris. It really is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen.
But as for going on any other vacations in my life, the last one was to Disneyworld in 4th grade. Goes to show how much I get out and go have fun.
Unfortunately, I am not going anywhere for spring break. I plan on working like 60 hours and making some money! I did give myself a half day off to sleep in! I'm pretty excited about that. I hope everyone enjoys their spring break!
I plan on spending the week in this beautiful, exotic place called Milwaukee...I don't know if any of you have heard of it, it's kind of a secret. I might get lucky enough to visit Madison (another secret exotic locale)
No seriously, I'll be looking for a j-o-b. how sad.
My spring breaks have always been such a blur, i mean bore. I really have never went on vacation during this time period because I've always had a full time job during school and didn't wish to waste my vacation time in the middle of March. Most of the time I just would get some guys together and play a ton of basketball or catch up on some homework. I wish I had big plans for this spring break but I will just be sitting around with the tourney on all day and get some rest. BOOOOOO me.
well the parole board wont let me leave the state.. jk. no im not going anywhere but that is okay..i can just hang out and relax. so i cant wait. i have usually gone on a trip to vegas for SB's in the past but no money.
so good ole milwaukee will have to do.
